SVG had the pleasure of doing some live event videography for a fundraiser at the Boston Symphony Orchestra Hall last week.
The benefit was for veterans with PTSD and featured many keynote appearances including the mayor, the governor, and country star, Reba McEntire. The band, Casey Cross, opened the event to a loud and jovial audience excited to see them.
All of the band members are veterans who are currently coping with PTSD. The audience was very receptive to their story and their performance (they managed to steal away a bit of the spotlight from the other speakers).
After the show, Casey Cross shared their experiences living with PTSD. It was an honest and intimate moment impossible to recreate, so our DP was very touched be a part of it and to be able to capture it all on camera.
SVG was contacted by the band’s manager to cover the event earlier that day, and we had crew on the road within two hours. Although it was short notice, SVG is always ready to spring into action when we are tapped by our out-of-state clients. Live event video production always ensures some curveballs and quick thinking, but is also sure to capture some genuine moments that can’t be reproduced artificially.
