Our Work: Arch Painting
A commercial and residential painting company whose culture was its competitive advantage — and whose next hire or client had no way to see it.
The Organization
Arch Painting operates across commercial and residential markets throughout New England. Founded on a straightforward premise — responsive, reliable, expert, unobtrusive — the company had built a strong reputation over years of consistent work. By 2019, they were ready to make that reputation legible to people who hadn't experienced it firsthand.
The Communication Problem
Painting companies compete on price and availability. Arch competes on something different: a culture of professionalism that most companies in their industry don't have and can't fake. Their people show up on time, communicate consistently, and treat every job as a reflection of the company. That's a real differentiator — and it's exactly the kind of thing that's invisible on a job posting or a service page.
The challenge was letting prospects feel who Arch is before the first conversation, not after the first job.
The Thinking
Two videos, each doing different work. The recruitment video needed to attract people who would actually fit — which meant it couldn't just describe the job. It had to show what working at Arch actually feels like. Interviews with the owner and employees were structured around questions designed to surface the values the company had been living for years, not recite them.
The client testimonial came together on a tight turnaround. Sports media personality Christian Fauria's home had already been painted — no active job to film. Drone footage of the finished exterior, combined with an interview specific enough to carry the story on its own, made the case without needing to manufacture it.
The Work
Two videos produced across multiple shoot days — Arch's Woburn office, active work sites, and a residential client's home. Documentary-style interviews with ownership, field employees, and an on-camera client. Drone footage for exterior context.
