A Whole New Perspective: Our Website Redesign

(May 8, 2013) – Summer is a time for rest, reintegration, and… website redesigns!

Later this summer, Skillman Video Group will unveil a new home site, replete with updated functions, a better service page, and a wholly new design aesthetic.

This site will stay up until the official unveiling, but over the next few months we will be working on creating a website that reflects our perspective as one of Boston’s best production companies.

We often talk on this blog (and on the website at large) about the power of story, both the internal story of an organization and the story that is portrayed through chosen content to the public. A large part of the ideology behind this ‘brand refresh’ is to practice what we preach.

Skillman Video Group has grown hugely over the past few years. The number of services we provide, and the way we provide them have expanded as well.

Over the last few months, we’ve taught marketing executives about production techniques, filmed a speech from the President of Rwanda, helped with live event filming for the town of Gloucester, and even started incorporating animation into our repertoire of tools. And that’s just in the last six months!

That’s not to say there is anything deficient about this website—quite the opposite.

Our work with SEO has allowed us to connect with a wide range of clients, many of whom find us through this exact site.

It’s more that we want our online public face to represent the story of the company—its growth, its potential, and the values we hold dear.

We want the new website to reflect not only who we are but also where we are going. And you’ll be on the ground level of the process every step of the way.
