An Intern’s Experience at Skillman Video Group

(May 5, 2011) – Looking back, I cannot believe that it has been four months since I interviewed for an internship with Skillman Video Group.

I came in knowing that I was interested in Internet marketing, but only had a limited background in the field. Now that my internship is wrapping up, I can honestly say that I feel prepared to begin an exciting career in digital marketing. In fact, I have already accepted a position starting in June!

For the past four months, I worked extensively with Christina Skillman and marketing consultant Francis McGovern. We met frequently in the Boston office to discuss marketing strategy and to brainstorm ideas for improvements to the site.

Both Christina and Francis were terrific mentors. They treated me as a member of the team, and always respected my ideas. We worked hard, but we also had a lot of fun along the way. Although my internship period has officially come to a close, I will certainly stay in touch.

I advise anyone who might be looking to gain some knowledge and experience in the areas of video production, video marketing, SEO, or social media to look into an internship with SVG. I’m glad that I did!
