Training Videos for Start Up

professional video production company

When OnVocal needed to produce some training videos for an upcoming product launch, they turned to the Boston video production experts at SVG.

Our Boston video producers worked with them to complete their “About Us” video back in December 2016 and managed to turn the entire project around in less than a week’s time.

They were so happy with that experience that they came back to us again when they had another video project that needed professional assistance.

OnVocal is the first intelligent headphones for your smart phone that are compatible with Alexa voice and music services.

Because of the nature of their product, it is important to have easily accessible materials available to customers who may have questions regarding setup or functionality.

From a marketing perspective, the last thing you want is to have your customers feel frustrated that your product isn’t easy to find or that there isn’t clear content on how to use it or answers to basic questions.

Corporate training videos provide a lot of advantages.

  1. It allows you to speak directly to your audience.  If a picture is worth 1,000 words, how much more valuable is video?  According to Forrester Research, 1 minute of video is worth 1.8 million words.  You will have a hard time finding a better medium for trying to explain complex products or processes.
  2. Because of the nature of video, it is incredibly shareable on social media and is considered to be “content rich.  Meaning that if a web site visitor has a choice between reading a page of text or watching a video, the video will win out more often than not.  From a marketing perspective, pound-for-pound video delivers a terrific return on your investment compared to other print or online materials.
  3. It allows you to be seen all over the world with the click of a button.  It may be difficult to train your customers or employees if they are spread out in different geographic locations.  The time and travel savings alone make video one of the most cost-effective tools for training available on the market today.

The Boston Production crews at SVG went to the client’s home in Gloucester, MA, and all 6 of their corporate training videos were shot in under 4 hours.

We shot the videos using an “infinite white” (or limbo) background to give the videos a professional and polished feel.

The professional video crew arrived at 9 am and was shooting by 10 am.

All of the video content was shot in 4K with professional 3-point lighting and full audio with a lavaliere mic and a shotgun.

We shot the CEO talking through different features of the product from different angles to give the final product a variety of shots and more visual interest.

The videos are currently in post production and are slated to be completed by week’s end.
